Style-loving Nelson locals will know Maria and her vintage and collectables store Eclectic well.  She is a local icon and we are very excited to be able to photograph her…  

“The coat and hat are faux fur and I actually bought them separately from two different stores on different occasions, even though they match.  My jewellery is a mixture of vintage ivory and bakerlite (early plastic, developed pre-WWII).  I found my boots on Trade Me – they are a little bit “Puss in Boots” tucked in like this.  Working in the shop means I am doing a lot of lifting and cleaning, and it can be cold.  So I don’t dress up as much as I would like to”.
