High Tea, Great Style

Here at Silk Purse, Oily Rag we love women who look out for other women.  So we are enthusiastic supporters of High Tea at Morrison Square, a fundraising event for the Nelson Regional Gynecological and Breast Cancer Trust.

“This is the second year that we have supported the Trust.  We all know of someone who has had or been affected by one of these cancers, and so it is a charity we feel connected to.  Because it is not a national charity, we know that all of the funds will be used locally…  The focus of the show is fun.  We want to create a relaxed atmosphere that everyone can enjoy” says Angela Leonard, Morrison Square Manager.

We want to showcase our retailers and to raise money for a really good cause.  It’s about saving lives and supporting those affected.

The event is supported by numerous local businesses, including key sponsor Hamish Fletcher Lawyers.  Local lifestyle magazine Wild Tomato is also a key supporter. “We are enthusiastic supporters of the event.  And I think I might have just been talked into walking the catwalk!” says Laura Loghry, Wild Tomato Manager.

The event is on 9 November from 12:30 to 2:30pm at Morrison Square.  Tickets for the High Tea are $50 and can be purchased at Morrison Square Centre Management.  Ticket price includes High Tea, the fashion show, a goodie bag and charity auction.

The Centre Management office is located on the first floor above the Morri St Cafe and is open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.  For more information please go to the Morrison Square Facebook Page or contact Morrison Square Centre Management on 03 548 9191 or nelson@morrisonsquare.co.nz
