Tess and Sonya met behind the scenes at a Fashion Show, and quickly struck up a rapport over great clothes and a sense of fun.  Here, Tess shares a more serious side to her style, one that is driven by sustainable and ethical values…

“Most of my outfit reflects my approach to ethical fashion.  My main concern is that we are facing significant environmental and humanitarian issues in the world, and there are ways I can counter them in my wardrobe.  The top is made by Rosie Ackland, whose clothes are whimisical and beach-inspired.  They are all hand-made by her with great quality fabrics.  I picked up my bag at the Ubud art markets in Bali.  There are lots of stalls selling different shapes and sizes of bags, and it requires a lot of bartering in broken Bahasa from time to time!  You can pick them up as cheaply, but having seen first-hand how dire some balinese communities can be, I think it’s really important to be as fair as possible”
